A Little About Me
A little about me:
As someone who enjoys learning and meeting new people, a career in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an exciting prospect. My education and professional experience has uniquely suited me to navigate a variety of sectors in order to connect people and identify changes in the physical, economic, and social environments, and to help find solutions through spatial analysis.
My educational background is unique, allowing me to apply a diverse set of skills to projects. I have extensive research skills, which include: report writing, critical thinking. synthesis of information, and presentation experience. Additionally, my technical experience includes: Cartographic design, GIS analysis, remote sensing interpretation, and model-building. In a world of information overload, integration of spatial data into the problem-solving process is crucial in order to better connect people to the issues that are important to them.
I have been afforded the opportunity to work on several internships and contracts that have served to improve both my technical and interpersonal skill sets. These internships allowed me to create maps for online use and hard copy in academic, public, and non-profit sectors. Contact me with any questions and let's collaborate.
